Originally trained at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in the Netherlands and Carnegie Mellon University, William began working as an interior architect and furniture designer. He then turned his talent for design to media and interactive work, designing and art directing projects for the fashion and art industry.

He later co-founded KO Media Studios where he designed and art directed award winning promotional CDs, web sites, and print work.
